commitee050a5775upstream. Drop bits 63:32 of the VMCS field encoding when checking for a nested VM-Exit on VMREAD/VMWRITE in !64-bit mode. VMREAD and VMWRITE always use 32-bit operands outside of 64-bit mode. The actual emulation of VMREAD/VMWRITE does the right thing, this bug is purely limited to incorrectly causing a nested VM-Exit if a GPR happens to have bits 63:32 set outside of 64-bit mode. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
