commit29bb274e94upstream. The PCM core should perform the sync for the pending stop operations at disconnection. Otherwise it may lead to unexpected access. Currently the old user of sync_stop, USB-audio driver, has its own sync, so this isn't needed, but it's better to guarantee the sync in the PCM core level. This patch adds the missing sync_stop call at PCM disconnection callback. It also assures the IRQ sync if it's specified in the card. snd_pcm_sync_stop() is slightly modified to be called also for any PCM substream object now. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
