When building a allmodconfig kernel for arm64 and boot that in qemu, CONFIG_FTRACE_STARTUP_TEST gets enabled and that takes time so the watchdog expires and prints out a message like this: 'watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s! [swapper/0:1]' Depending on what the what test gets called from init_trace_selftests() it stays minutes in the loop. Rework so that function cond_resched() gets called in the init_trace_selftests loop. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
