This converts the da8xx fbdev driver to use GPIO backlight device and regulator devices. This will finally help get rid of legacy GPIO API calls and simplify DaVinci GPIO driver. * tag 'davinci-for-v5.4/fbdev' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/nsekhar/linux-davinci: fbdev: da8xx: use resource management for dma fbdev: da8xx-fb: drop a redundant if fbdev: da8xx-fb: use devm_platform_ioremap_resource() fbdev: da8xx: remove panel_power_ctrl() callback from platform data ARM: davinci: da850-evm: switch to using a fixed regulator for lcdc fbdev: da8xx: add support for a regulator ARM: davinci: da850-evm: model the backlight GPIO as an actual device Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
