[ Upstream commitf75df8d4b4] Blitting an image with "negative" offsets is not working since there is no clipping. It hopefully just crashes. For the bootup logo, there is protection so that blitting does not happen as the image is drawn further and further to the right (ROTATE_UR) or further and further down (ROTATE_CW). There is however no protection when drawing in the opposite directions (ROTATE_UD and ROTATE_CCW). Add back this protection. The regression is 20-odd years old but the mindless warning-killing mentality displayed in commit34bdb666f4("fbdev: fbmem: remove positive test on unsigned values") is also to blame, methinks. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
