commitd4e329de5eupstream. btrfs_trim_fs iterates over the fs_devices->alloc_list while holding the device_list_mutex. The problem is that ->alloc_list is protected by the chunk mutex. We don't want to hold the chunk mutex over the trim of the entire file system. Fortunately, the ->dev_list list is protected by the dev_list mutex and while it will give us all devices, including read-only devices, we already just skip the read-only devices. Then we can continue to take and release the chunk mutex while scanning each device. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
