commitb908297047upstream. __bpf_arch_text_poke does rewrite only for atomic nop5, emit_nops(xxx, 5) emits non-atomic one which breaks fentry/fexit with k8 atomics: P6_NOP5 == P6_NOP5_ATOMIC (0f1f440000 == 0f1f440000) K8_NOP5 != K8_NOP5_ATOMIC (6666906690 != 6666666690) Can be reproduced by doing "ideal_nops = k8_nops" in "arch_init_ideal_nops() and running fexit_bpf2bpf selftest. Fixes:e21aa34178("bpf: Fix fexit trampoline.") Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
