The 32bit variants of vdso_clock_gettime()/getres() have a NULL pointer check for the timespec pointer. That's inconsistent vs. 64bit. But the vdso implementation will never be consistent versus the syscall because the only case which it can handle is NULL. Any other invalid pointer will cause a segfault. So special casing NULL is not really useful. Remove it along with the superflouos syscall fallback invocation as that will return -EFAULT anyway. That also gets rid of the dubious typecast which only works because the pointer is NULL. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
