If androidboot.vbmeta.invalidate_on_error is 'yes' and androidboot.vbmeta.device is set and points to a device with vbmeta magic, this header will be overwritten upon an irrecoverable dm-verity error. The side-effect of this is that the slot will fail to verify on next reboot, effectively triggering the boot loader to fallback to another slot. This work both if the vbmeta struct is at the start of a partition or if there's an AVB footer at the end. This code is based on drivers/md/dm-verity-chromeos.c from ChromiumOS. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
