There are several encoding options that are hard coded in the parameter that is used to configure the hardware codec. However, some of the options must be written to the SPS/PPS by the driver. Furthermore, some of the options depend on the codec that is used (i.e. H.264 or HEVC). Therefore, move options that depend on the codec to the channel and add constants for options that are independent of the codec but must be written to the SPS/PPS. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
