The 'addr_merge' parameter to iommu_pgsize() is a fabricated address intended to describe the alignment requirements to consider when choosing an appropriate page size. On the iommu_map() path, this address is the logical OR of the virtual and physical addresses. Subsequent improvements to iommu_pgsize() will need to check the alignment of the virtual and physical components of 'addr_merge' independently, so pass them in as separate parameters and reconstruct 'addr_merge' locally. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
