commit3cec638b3dupstream. When create_event_filter() fails in set_trigger_filter(), the filter may still be allocated and needs to be freed. The caller expects the data->filter to be updated with the new filter, even if the new filter failed (we could add an error message by setting set_str parameter of create_event_filter(), but that's another update). But because the error would just exit, filter was left hanging and nothing could free it. Found by kmemleak detector. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
