PD or PT might have to be moved during validation and this move has to be completed before updating it. If page table updates are done using SDMA then this serializing is done by SDMA command submission. And if PD/PT updates are done by CPU, then explicit waiting for PD/PT updates are done in amdgpu VM amdgpu_vm_wait_pd function. Sync to PD BO moving fence to handle corner case where none of the PTs are updated but PD is evicted. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
