[ Upstream commitfeabecaff5] If ipi_send_{mask|single}() is called with an invalid interrupt number, all the local variables there will be NULL. ipi_send_verify() which is invoked from these functions does verify its 'data' parameter, resulting in a kernel oops in irq_data_get_affinity_mask() as the passed NULL pointer gets dereferenced. Add a missing NULL pointer check in ipi_send_verify()... Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with the SVACE static analysis tool. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
