[ Upstream commit0f5d82f187] Added a check in the switch case on start_header that checks for the existence of the header, and in the case that MAC is not set and the caller requests for MAC, -EFAULT. If the caller requests for NET then MAC's existence is completely ignored. There is no function to check NET header's existence and as far as cgroup_skb/egress is concerned it should always be set. Removed for ptr >= the start of header, considering offset is bounded unsigned and should always be true. len <= end - mac is redundant to ptr + len <= end. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
