[ Upstream commit92c8026854] vfio_pci_enable() saves the device's initial configuration information with the intent that it is restored in vfio_pci_disable(). However, the commit referenced in Fixes: below replaced the call to __pci_reset_function_locked(), which is not wrapped in a state save and restore, with pci_try_reset_function(), which overwrites the restored device state with the current state before applying it to the device. Reinstate use of __pci_reset_function_locked() to return to the desired behavior. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
