[ Upstream commita240bc5c43] Wear-leveling entry could be freed in error path, which may be accessed again in eraseblk_count_seq_show(), for example: __erase_worker eraseblk_count_seq_show wl = ubi->lookuptbl[*block_number] if (wl) wl_entry_destroy ubi->lookuptbl[e->pnum] = NULL kmem_cache_free(ubi_wl_entry_slab, e) erase_count = wl->ec // UAF! Wear-leveling entry updating/accessing in ubi->lookuptbl should be protected by ubi->wl_lock, fix it by adding ubi->wl_lock to serialize wl entry accessing between wl_entry_destroy() and eraseblk_count_seq_show(). Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
