[ Upstream commitaba36930a3] In ip packet generation, pagedlen is initialized for each skb at the start of the loop in __ip(6)_append_data, before label alloc_new_skb. Depending on compiler options, code can be generated that jumps to this label, triggering use of an an uninitialized variable. In practice, at -O2, the generated code moves the initialization below the label. But the code should not rely on that for correctness. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
