commitd3736d82e8upstream. Try to get reference for ldisc during tty_reopen(). If ldisc present, we don't need to do tty_ldisc_reinit() and lock the write side for line discipline semaphore. Effectively, it optimizes fast-path for tty_reopen(), but more importantly it won't interrupt ongoing IO on the tty as no ldisc change is needed. Fixes user-visible issue when tty_reopen() interrupted login process for user with a long password, observed and reported by Lukas. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
