Now that we parse the DDI port info from the VBT on all g4x+ platforms we can throw out all the old codepaths in intel_bios_is_port_present(), intel_bios_is_port_edp() and intel_bios_is_port_dp_dual_mode(). None of these should be called on pre-g4x platforms. For good measure throw in a WARN into intel_bios_is_port_present() should someone get the urge to call it on older platforms. The other two functions are specific to HDMI and DP so should not need any protection as those encoder types don't even exist on older platforms. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
