commitda9de5f852upstream. The call to sdma_progress() is called outside the wait lock. In this case, there is a race condition where sdma_progress() can return false and the sdma_engine can idle. If that happens, there will be no more sdma interrupts to cause the wakeup and the user_sdma xmit will hang. Fix by moving the lock to enclose the sdma_progress() call. Also, delete busycount. The need for this was removed by: commitbcad29137a("IB/hfi1: Serve the most starved iowait entry first") Ported to linux-4.19.y. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
