commite6db6f9398upstream. We have two types of task_work based creation, one is using an existing worker to setup a new one (eg when going to sleep and we have no free workers), and the other is allocating a new worker. Only the latter should be freed when we cancel task_work creation for a new worker. Fixes:af82425c6a("io_uring/io-wq: free worker if task_work creation is canceled") Reported-by: syzbot+d56ec896af3637bdb7e4@syzkaller.appspotmail.com Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@kernel.dk> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
