[ Upstream commit4c1cdec319] Thee maximum number of MCA banks is 64 (MAX_NR_BANKS), seea0bc32b3ca("x86/mce: Increase maximum number of banks to 64"). However, the bank_map which contains a bitfield of which banks to initialize is of type unsigned int and that overflows when those bit numbers are >= 32, leading to UBSAN complaining correctly: UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in arch/x86/kernel/cpu/mce/amd.c:1365:38 shift exponent 32 is too large for 32-bit type 'int' Change the bank_map to a u64 and use the proper BIT_ULL() macro when modifying bits in there. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
