Currently any attempts to pin a device coherent page will fail. This is because device coherent pages need to be managed by a device driver, and pinning them would prevent a driver from migrating them off the device. However this is no reason to fail pinning of these pages. These are coherent and accessible from the CPU so can be migrated just like pinning ZONE_MOVABLE pages. So instead of failing all attempts to pin them first try migrating them out of ZONE_DEVICE. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
