[ Upstream commite2eed85bc7] When doing degrade/recover tests using the journal a kernel BUG is hit at drivers/md/raid5.c:4381 in handle_parity_checks5(): BUG_ON(!test_bit(R5_UPTODATE, &dev->flags)); This was found to occur because handle_stripe_fill() was skipped for stripes in the journal due to a condition in that function. Thus blocks were not fetched and R5_UPTODATE was not set when the code reached handle_parity_checks5(). To fix this, don't skip handle_stripe_fill() unless the stripe is for read. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
