[ Upstream commit761f60261b] These is no need to hold dst before calling rt6_remove_exception_rt(). The call to dst_hold_safe() in ip6_link_failure() was for ip6_del_rt(), which has been removed in Commit93531c6743("net/ipv6: separate handling of FIB entries from dst based routes"). Otherwise, it will cause a dst leak. This patch is to simply remove the dst_hold_safe() call before calling rt6_remove_exception_rt() and also do the same in ip6_del_cached_rt(). It's safe, because the removal of the exception that holds its dst's refcnt is protected by rt6_exception_lock. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
