I've confirmed that both the ASMedia ASM1042A and ASM3242 have the same problem as the ASM1142 and ASM2142/ASM3142, where they lose some of the upper bits of 64-bit DMA addresses. As with the other chips, this can cause problems on systems where the upper bits matter, and adding the XHCI_NO_64BIT_SUPPORT quirk completely fixes the issue. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
