[ Upstream commit d9a3e9929452780df16f3414f0d59b5f69d058cf ] This patch modifies the type of setup_xref from void to int and handles errors since the function can fail. `setup_xref` now returns the (eventual) error from `dmae_set_dmars`|`dmae_set_chcr`, while `shdma_tx_submit` handles the result, removing the chunks from the queue and marking PM as idle in case of an error. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
