commit3aa6bce9afupstream. Prevent netif_tx_disable() running concurrently with dev_watchdog() by taking the device global xmit lock. Otherwise, the recommended: netif_carrier_off(dev); netif_tx_disable(dev); driver shutdown sequence can happen after the watchdog has already checked carrier, resulting in possible false alarms. This is because netif_tx_lock() only sets the frozen bit without maintaining the locks on the individual queues. Fixes:c3f26a269c("netdev: Fix lockdep warnings in multiqueue configurations.") Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
