commit4a089e95b4upstream. nios2:allmodconfig builds fail with make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'arch/nios2/boot/dts/""', needed by 'arch/nios2/boot/dts/built-in.a'. Stop. make: [Makefile:1868: arch/nios2/boot/dts] Error 2 (ignored) This is seen with compile tests since those enable NIOS2_DTB_SOURCE_BOOL, which in turn enables NIOS2_DTB_SOURCE. This causes the build error because the default value for NIOS2_DTB_SOURCE is an empty string. Disable NIOS2_DTB_SOURCE_BOOL for compile tests to avoid the error. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
