[ Upstream commit17ed808ad2] When kobject_init_and_add() returns an error, it should be handled because kobject_init_and_add() takes a reference even when it fails. If this function returns an error, kobject_put() must be called to properly clean up the memory associated with the object. Therefore, replace calling kfree() and call kobject_put() and add a missing kobject_put() in the edac_device_register_sysfs_main_kobj() error path. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
