[ Upstream commit073352e951] Some architectures and irqchip drivers modify the cpumask returned by irq_data_get_affinity_mask, usually by copying in to it. This is problematic for uniprocessor configurations, where the affinity mask should be constant, as it is known at compile time. Add and use a setter for the affinity mask, following the pattern of irq_data_update_effective_affinity. This allows the getter function to return a const cpumask pointer. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
