[ Upstream commit 4f23382841e67174211271a454811dd17c0ef3c5 ] Enabling RX FIFO Overflow interrupts is counterproductive and causes an interrupt storm when RX FIFO overflows. Disabling this interrupt has no side effect and eliminates interrupt storms when the RX FIFO overflows. Commit8a7cb245cf("net: stmmac: Do not enable RX FIFO overflow interrupts") disables RX FIFO overflow interrupts for DWMAC4 IP and removes the corresponding handling of this interrupt. This patch is doing the same thing for XGMAC IP. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
