commita47970ed74upstream. Current SVM implementation does not have support for handling PKU. Guests running on a host with future AMD cpus that support the feature will read garbage from the PKRU register and will hit segmentation faults on boot as memory is getting marked as protected that should not be. Ensure that cpuid from SVM does not advertise the feature. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
