commit4ca070ef0dupstream. The direction of the pipe argument must match the request-type direction bit or control requests may fail depending on the host-controller-driver implementation. Control transfers without a data stage are treated as OUT requests by the USB stack and should be using usb_sndctrlpipe(). Failing to do so will now trigger a warning. Fix the OSIFI2C_SET_BIT_RATE and OSIFI2C_STOP requests which erroneously used the osif_usb_read() helper and set the IN direction bit. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
