[ Upstream commit b099eb87de105cf07cad731ded6fb40b2675108b ] In commit967ac8af44("ext4: fix potential integer overflow in alloc_flex_gd()"), an overflow check is added to alloc_flex_gd() to prevent the allocated memory from being smaller than expected due to the overflow. However, after kmalloc() is replaced with kmalloc_array() in commit6da2ec5605("treewide: kmalloc() -> kmalloc_array()"), the kmalloc_array() function has an overflow check, so the above problem will not occur. Therefore, the extra check is removed. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
