commitdec3d0b107upstream. The ->digest() method of crct10dif-pclmul reads the current CRC value from the shash_desc context. But this value is uninitialized, causing crypto_shash_digest() to compute the wrong result. Fix it. Probably this wasn't noticed before because lib/crc-t10dif.c only uses crypto_shash_update(), not crypto_shash_digest(). Likewise, crypto_shash_digest() is not yet tested by the crypto self-tests because those only test the ahash API which only uses shash init/update/final. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
