[ Upstream commit05ce3e53f3] The common I/O layer delays the ADD uevent for subchannels and delegates generating this uevent to the individual subchannel drivers. The io_subchannel driver will do so when the associated ccw_device has been registered -- but unconditionally, so more ADD uevents will be generated if a subchannel has been unbound from the io_subchannel driver and later rebound. To fix this, only generate the ADD event if uevents were still suppressed for the device. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
