[ Upstream commit721c8dafad] Syncookies borrow the ->rx_opt.ts_recent_stamp field to store the timestamp of the last synflood. Protect them with READ_ONCE() and WRITE_ONCE() since reads and writes aren't serialised. Use of .rx_opt.ts_recent_stamp for storing the synflood timestamp was introduced bya0f82f64e2("syncookies: remove last_synq_overflow from struct tcp_sock"). But unprotected accesses were already there when timestamp was stored in .last_synq_overflow. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
