Commita90118c445("x86/boot: Save fields explicitly, zero out everything else") now zeroes the secure boot setting information (enabled/disabled/...) passed by the boot loader or by the kernel's EFI handover mechanism. The problem manifests itself with signed kernels using the EFI handoff protocol with grub and the kernel loses the information whether secure boot is enabled in the firmware, i.e., the log message "Secure boot enabled" becomes "Secure boot could not be determined". efi_main() arch/x86/boot/compressed/eboot.c sets this field early but it is subsequently zeroed by the above referenced commit. Include boot_params.secure_boot in the preserve field list. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
