[ Upstream commit5a3156932d] ice_send_event_to_aux() eventually descends to mutex_lock() (-> might_sched()), so it must not be called under non-task context. However, at least two fixes have happened already for the bug splats occurred due to this function being called from atomic context. To make the emergency landings softer, bail out early when executed in non-task context emitting a warn splat only once. This way we trade some events being potentially lost for system stability and avoid any related hangs and crashes. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
