[ Upstream commit 5b1913a79c3e0518d9c5db343fa9fc4edcea041f ] For allowing the primary codec SSID matching (that works around the conflicting PCI SSID problems), introduce a new struct hda_quirk, which is compatible with the existing struct snd_pci_quirk along with new helper functions and macros. The existing snd_pci_quirk tables are replaced with hda_quirk tables accordingly, while keeping SND_PCI_QUIRK() entry definitions as is. This patch shouldn't bring any behavior change, just some renaming and shifting the code. The actual change for the codec SSID matching will follow after this. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
