[ Upstream commit6977262c2e] Clang warns: drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-at91-master.c:707:6: warning: variable 'dma_buf' is used uninitialized whenever 'if' condition is false [-Wsometimes-uninitialized] if (dev->use_dma) { ^~~~~~~~~~~~ drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-at91-master.c:717:27: note: uninitialized use occurs here i2c_put_dma_safe_msg_buf(dma_buf, m_start, !ret); ^~~~~~~ Initialize dma_buf to NULL, as i2c_put_dma_safe_msg_buf() is a no-op when the first argument is NULL, which will work for the !dev->use_dma case. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
