[ Upstream commit4595a298d5] For filesystems with block size < page size, we need to set all the per-block uptodate bits if the page was already uptodate at the time we create the per-block metadata. This can happen if the page is invalidated (eg by a write to drop_caches) but ultimately not removed from the page cache. This is a data corruption issue as page writeback skips blocks which are marked !uptodate. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
