Commit428826f535("fdt: add support for rng-seed") moves of_fdt_crc32 from early_init_dt_verify() to early_init_dt_scan() since early_init_dt_scan_chosen() may modify fdt to erase rng-seed. However, arm and some other arch won't call early_init_dt_scan(), they call early_init_dt_verify() then early_init_dt_scan_nodes(). Restore of_fdt_crc32 to early_init_dt_verify() then update it in early_init_dt_scan_chosen() if fdt if updated. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
