commit250854eed5upstream. When the OSD is on (i.e. vivid displays text on top of the test pattern), and you enable hflip, then the driver crashes. The cause turned out to be a division of a negative number by an unsigned value. You expect that -8 / 2U would be -4, but in reality it is 2147483644 :-( Fixes:3e14e7a82c("vivid-tpg: add hor/vert downsampling support to tpg_gen_text") Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Reported-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org> Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> # for v4.1 and up Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
